Palo Santo is a natural incense with a thousand-year tradition, made from the Bursera graveolens plant. Its aroma has many benefits: it purifies the energies of the environment, encourages inner harmony and mental and physical balance, and stimulates concentration and introspection.
Why you should choose the Ritual variety:
It is the variety from the Manabí region of Ecuador. The Palo Santo that comes from this region lives in a favourable environment: the soil is not very rocky, the temperature's changes are more gentle and the climatic and environmental conditions are influenced by the proximity of the sea. These factors make the aroma of this variety more delicate and balsamic.
How to use Palo Santo cones:
Fumigations with the cone format take twenty minutes on average. This is one of the easiest formats to use:
1. Place the cone on the metal mesh inside the terracotta incense burner.
2. Light the end of the cone without letting it catch too much flame.
3. Once lit, the cone will continue on its own until exhausted.
4. If you wish to stop the fumigation earlier, simply press the tip of the cone with the embers on to a surface.
5. On the other hand, if you continue with the fumigation, you will notice that the more it proceeds, the more abundant it will be. This happens because the cone as it burns increases the volume of its combustion area and consequently the smoke produced will also increase.
Benefits of the cone format:
The cone format has one major advantage over all other formats: once lit they continue to burn independently, no charcoal is needed to light them.
The cones produce a lot of smoke so they are recommended for external use and for rituals that require intense smoking.
The benefits of Palo Santo cones are manifold:
- Purifies the energies of places and environments
- Promotes inner harmony and mental and physical rebalancing
- Releases an aroma that stimulates concentration and introspection
- Creates a relaxing atmosphere that stimulates creativity
- Wards off annoying insects.
